Why You Should Avoid Asking Your Ambassadors To Speak About Your Brand

Asking brand Ambassadors NOT to speak about your brand when they're on panel discussions, has been one of the best things I've found for brands. Yes, really.

Because honestly, what's worse than sitting in the audience hearing someone on stage you know is being paid by the brand, singing praises about the brand?! It feels ich and inauthentic in many ways.

In fact, my direction pre-event is to be yourself, speak from experience and add value to the audience. The product stuff, I'll do - the brand should do naturally.

Instead, we wrap Ambassador learnings and experience on living paycheque to paycheque to now owning a multi-location business in the fact that they've automated and implemented booking deposits and client cancellation policies.

Instead, we facilitate Ambassador lessons on undercharging and incorrectly pricing their services, through the ability that they've learnt how to become financially literate through reading reporting dashboards.

The audience is there to hear from the expert - The Ambassador. They're there to hear how they 'made it' and their pathway to making it.

It's our job as a brand representative to facilitate the conversation between the advocate and the product, so perfectly that the audience is none the wiser that the product is even being placed at the centre of the conversation.

If you these kinds of conversation and partnership tips are helpful let me know and I'll keep sharing!
