Elly Lukas Post Graduate Bruncheon

Name a better way to finish the calendar year than a white theme rooftop bruncheon, I'll wait.

Followed on from the celebrations of the annual Elly Lukas graduation, the bruncheon invites industry guests and student graduates for a morning of connection, conversation and most importantly, great coffee.

Held in the most picturesque venue, The Aviary on top of Crown Melbourne the morning started with a certification ceremony for Laser Safety form the Australian Dermal Science Institue, presented by none other than Mary Katsis and Professor Rob Sinclair.

Having the pleasure of interviewing Tina Bannister, CEO Advanced Cosmeceuticals, was a highlight of the morning, as she shared their over-aching mission for 2023, coupled with the merging relationship with cult skincare brand DMK Australia.

Tina shares her passion of industry, household names she has been able to mould and grow, as well as her advice for those in the room - if you see something you want, don't be afraid to ask for it.

A panel of industry icons was assembled shortly thereafter, featuring Tatum Hargraves of The Brow Technicians, Gay Wardle of Gay Wardle Education, Gry Tomte of HUD Skin + Body and Eddie Norcross National Sales Manager for DMK Australia.

Facilitating the discussion, we began with questions around the years highlights and recruitment tips, before getting more intimate with detail surrounding mindset and business challenges.

Our audience listened intently to lessons that are (in hindsight!) now blessings, and heads nodded in agreeance with the sentiment of breaking glass ceilings and dreaming bigger than your mind allows you.

The three hour soiree finished with a group photo amongst the searing blue Melbourne skies and sparkling sunshine, before saying goodbye to the years last beauty industry event.
